For more than 30 years, I’ve been creating images through illustration, painting, graphic design and, most recently, photography. It’s a process that lets me connect with people on a level that goes beyond “hi, how are you?” I get to know them and they me and, together, their stories find a voice through my lens. Stories have always captivated me, especially the unwritten, visual ones. We all have a story worth telling.
In a nutshell, I’m a writer, hiker, metal head, waxer philosophical, explorer, caffeine junky, animal lover, gym rat, sci-fi fan, avid reader and photographer. I live in London, ON, but, when I’m not creating images for my clients, I’m out travelling the roads capturing the beauty of the world around us or visiting with good friends. Then, there are the little-known details …
As ‘getting it right’ is my mantra, I’m always studying new techniques to improve my craft. Photography is the marriage of art and science, so it’s my belief that a healthy understanding of the elements of design, composition, lighting, body language, facial analysis and artistic method – both traditional and contemporary – are integral to creating successful imagery. It’s my privilege to be a nationally recognised photography judge and designated a Master of Photographic Arts (MPA) by the Professional Photographers of Canada.
